Altered Sea Shell

Good evening, all!  I hope you all have had a wonderful day.  Today was a gorgeous day in South Carolina - almost the end of October and our weather is still in the 80s.  Couldn't ask for anything better.

I wanted to share with everyone my latest mixed media project.  I was inspired by Tiffany Solorio who is on the design team for Prima Marketing.  She did an altered light bulb (YES, a lightbulb!!) and it was so darned cute, I decided I had to use her techniques and alter a conch shell that I bought in Myrtle Beach.  Here is the first picture after the Heavy Gesso, Texture Paste, and Art Stones. I also added some mesh fabric to create even more texture.

After this layer dried, I started spraying it with Prima Marketing Color Bloom Sprays.  These sprays are awesome!  They react with water so they make a dream watercolor look and mix beautifully with each other.

For the final touches, I added 1 prima flower from the St. Tropez collection, added a silver anchor, and added some words from the St. Tropez collection.  Finally I put a few touches of Prima Wax to add a bit of shimmer and gold color to the shells.  Here's the final product

Isn't it gorgeous?  Thanks for looking and for commenting!
